Vienna - EGU-GA

In 2012 I interned as a media assistant at the European Geosciences Union-General Assembly. At the time their YouTube page and social media were sparse in content. I was asked if I could create a Highlights video and take media photos. The catch was they had no equipment to offer and I only had my iPad and an old Canon DSLR. I found an iPad cover that could be attached to a tripod and filmed in 1920x1080 format. In 2012, this was a very novel solution and my setup and approach to solving the problem were very popular. The content was edited using iMovie.

My roles also included helping in the busy media room with bookings for the journalists and scientists.

Oh, and I was invited back to repeat the process in 2013.
